Free prescription delivery service
The health system offers free prescription delivery. Delivery is required for maintenance medications and optional for specialty medications. This provides you and your family with the added convenience for medications needed routinely and allows the health system to offer the lowest cost possible.
How it works
- Maintenance medications must be delivered to be covered.
- Controlled substances and specialty medications can be delivered or picked up.
- For delivery: Have your provider send a new electronic prescription to The University of Kansas Health System Southlake Retail Pharmacy.
- Prescriptions can be delivered to your home, another preferred address (not work address), or a FedEx hold-at/pickup location. The hold-at location will sign for your prescriptions and hold them in a safe location for you to pick up within seven days.
- If you haven’t used the free delivery service before, a pharmacy team member will call to confirm your preferred delivery address and your payment method (for deductible/coinsurance or copay).
- To get package delivery updates, download the FedEx app and sign in with the same email you use for MyChart. Be sure to enable notifications.
Your medication will arrive via FedEx within one-to-five business days, depending on your location, with no delivery fee. You can find the tracking number and delivery date in the FedEx app.
